Abstract

A focus on health care is of great importance for not only governments but also the general population. Large parts of government budgets are allocated to healthcare yearly to upgrade it and to keep it functional for society. Governments have been keen to develop administrative programs that guarantee to provide an outstanding service to organizations and patients, and the most important of these programs are supply chain programs. Among these, the most important are pharmaceutical supply chains, which are one of the most dangerous and difficult, and complex supply chains. The focus on pharmaceutical supply chains was previously in the provision of medication only and the reflection of its deficiency had only affected patients. Therefore, in our research, we studied the effect of pharmaceutical supply chains on the quality of medical service provided in organizations and giving it additional competitive aspects. According to the results of the research, we found a strong relationship between good planning for the management of pharmaceutical supply chains and the impact on patients' lives and quality, financial resources in the organization and its management, the organization's reputation, and increasing its competencies, and the influence on other departments in providing a distinguished medical service to patients, thus giving the organization a higher competitive advantage.
