Abstract

Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are used to measure performance in many different areas and settings of the business world. This paper is devoted to identifying the role of employee training on their perception and understanding of KPIs. The paper also examined the impact of employee engagement on their perception and understanding of KPIs and elaborates the influence of employee motivation on their perception and understanding of the KPIs. In this paper, we explored whether (a) employee training plays a role in employees’ perception and understanding of KPIs, (b) employee engagement impacts employees’ perception and understanding of the KPIs, and (c) employee motivation influences employees’ perception and understanding of KPIs. The study group of the research consists of a total of 100 employees. The research outcome proved that there is a positive and significant relationship between employee training, engagement, and motivation from one side and employees’ perception and understanding of KPIs from the other side.
